Proper Tea, Property

"Property is theft” was written by Pierre-Joseph Proudhon (1809-1865) in his book What is Property? Or, an Inquiry into the Principle of Right and Government (1840). “Proper tea is theft” has been cited in print since at least 1993. In this project, I used tea bags I collected from the cafe I work as a barista, and collaged them with photographic materials. Through juxtaposing and scanning, I brought imagery together. Since this project repurposes biodegradable excess material it functions as an eco project.
