Isolation with a lettuce

Project brief: Create a body of work of 4 pieces photographing the given aliment and take at least 5 photographs from each category below, print all as contact sheet. After deciding on the 4 images choose the suitable photograph and use it to design your poster. - Modernism and the machine / industry - Modernism and abstraction - Modernism and light / shadows - Modernism and the city / buildings / streets - Modernism and gender / human (portraits) - Modernism and objects - Modernism and landscape With this project I created for my first year course COMD 102, I have assigned the vegetable lettuce as my object to photograph in modernist style. After examining and studying the works of modernist photographers and designers, I created this 4 photographs and 2 poster designs. All of the photographs are taken in the first week of covid-19 quarantine in indoors.
